When I had the Oregon Scientific I put an ambient shield around the TH sensor. It got the station to within a few degrees (still too warm). After that I just subtracted a degree in the calibration panel. The Fan Radiation Shield on the Davis I am noting makes me a few degrees cooler than everyone else. Waiting on the initial Qual checks from CWOP before I make any calibration changes.
The shield can be bought online for not too much I think or instructions exist how to make a shield.
