So, what are today's correct times, and what does the weather station put out?

Re: N23DQ Longitude/Latitude
The N23DQ is showing 06:53 then 20:08.
However, google has them as 05:49 and 20:34. The BBC weather site has it as 05:52 and 20:31.
I get that there maybe a few minutes difference between providers, but the indoor unit does seem to be a bit out, so Im guessing I havent input the Long/Lat quite right?

Re: WH2310 observations
I am planning to extend the wind cable on this station soon. I have the phone wire (straight through) with a cord coupler. I want the thermometer down near the ground so I can change the batteries, and so I can position the solar sensor in direct sunlight a bit better. I only could get a 12 ft extention, but I hope this will be a better location... also the rain gauge will be able to be closer to the ground. Right now this station is on Amazon for $30 less than I paid! If you want a good station, get one. I have had no issues with mine, other than operator error as I posted above.

Re: How to factory reset WS-1400-IP ??
Nevermind - apparently the WU fields can be entered as blank and saved. My browser was auto-filling the values back in again.
All set.

Re: ws 2902 issue
I updated the firmware on our router yesterday so it rebooted and the WS-2902 stopped updating the web sites again so I tried rebooting the router which didn't help this time instead I had to pull one of the batteries and unplug the WS-2902 display then after a few seconds plug it back in and put the battery back in and it started updating again.

Re: WS-8478 Falcon
Newbie here, weighing these same two weather stations.
Can someone explain to me the utility of the solar radiation sensor? I live in a place with a LOT of solar radiation (Southern California)...
Thanks!

Beware when trying to spider-proof the WS-2902 (for dummies like me)
Noticed that the rain gauge wasn't working, so I cleaned out the spiders and webs from the unit. As an extra layer of prevention, I sprayed bug spray inside the rain collector where the paddle is. I was shocked to see a temp reading of 140F with a 99.9F dewpoint when I looked at the display, plus the UVI/lightmeter had stopped reading!
Worried that I toasted my sensor, I thoroughly blew canned compressed air throughout the sensor unit, and thankfully, everything went back to normal.
Now, if I can just get WU to edit my data....
Ambientweather's site was no problem to edit.

Re: Beware when trying to spider-proof the WS-2902 (for dummies like me)
I don't know if a mothball will fit inside your Ambient but Acurite suggests this for their 5 in 1 units if their is an insect/arachnid problem.

That's a great idea! Should be plenty of room in there! Thanks!

You're welcome. I'll be doing it when I take mine down for maintenance in advance of the insect brigade.

Just about ANY oil-based "fumes" can/will contaminate most RH-sensors.

So, is there anything that I can place in the sensor area to repel spiders that won't mess up the RH sensors?

Ambient Weather WS-1001-WiFi Clone not connecting to AmbientWeather.net
Hi all,
Just setting up my weather station again after a move and realised that ambientweather now have their own dashboard, which is cool.
I realised I am also quite a few firmware versions behind since my last update so got to work sorting that out.
All went well getting to 2.4.6 and I could see the settings for the ambientweather server refresh!
The only issue was that my unit is a Maxkon Aussie clone so I needed to update the frequency back to 433M to get my sensors back online. Now I can get wunderground set up no worries but no longer have the ambient weather option!
After lots of upgrading and downgrading I have figured out that as soon as I change the frequency I loose the option to push data to ambient weather![Sad :(]()
Does anyone know if this is deliberate or a bug? Or if there is any work around?
I don't really need it but ITTT integration sounded like a useful feature, but after wasting a few hours tonight, thinking I should just get my settings right again and leave it alone..
Cheers

Before buying WS-1401-IP
Hello everyone,
I want to buy the WS-1401-IP and I have some questions:
1. I can buy in the Czech Republic only Renkforce WH2600. It is possible to send firmware for this device from https://www.ambientweather.com/wswsfiup.html ?
2. Does this device command as "http get"? Or can page - live data be read in a similar way?
3. Do you have experience with logging to NAS Synology?
thank you very much, Tom

WS-2902 Weather Underground Connection
I've set up my Ambient WS-2902 for weather reporting and it works fine with Ambient.net and Weathercloud.
The Weather Underground site updates once or twice and then fails indicating, "This PWS is not reporting".
How do I fix the situation?
Thanks for any help!

Re: WS-2902 Weather Underground Connection
I had the same thing happen to me.
I then noticed that AmbientTool offered a firmware update (to v1.1.4). I tapped that option and surprisingly, after the update, reporting to WU instantly began and hasn't missed a beat since.
There might be some other reason, but this certainly appeared to be it for me!
Cheers,
Nicholas

Re: WS 2902 to ObserverIP to Meteobridge (flashed to TL-MR3020)
So does this mean that if you buy a WeatherBridge from Ambient Weather (instead of using a DIY meteobridge) that the WeatherBridge will report to AW?
Is there a way to add a license to the DIY meteobridge for AW reporting?

Is there a way to add a license to the DIY meteobridge for AW reporting?Yes, you buy a license linked to the MAC address which then allows upload to their server
