Re: Why does Weather Underground sometimes say not reporting in error

I've sent messages to WU about it, as after researching it I found that the station may drop off the map if it fails the "Quality Check (QC)".  My temperatures/winds/humidity/rainfall are always within a tenth or so of stations within 2 miles of me.  I asked them that if I was being dropped due to a QC problem, could they let me know what the problem is so I can fix it, but I've not heard from them.

I checked again yesterday and it said my station had been offline for 70 hours! This time it was much more difficult to get it back on the map. I cycled the page and it said it was back, but then upon another page cycle it was back to the 70 hour claim.

Locally, I then power cycled the WS-1001 panel. Again this had no effect on the problem. This morning it is back on the map. Whats up with that, I don't know.

If someone uses the report button for a station, do you know what happens? I don't really want to try it on my own station... but I hope if it were done I would be informed of the report.
